It's basically becoming like reddit or twitter, more ways than one. And Valve is basically going with Steam deck crap, which is all the direction this place is going in. I mean literally, they are games originally made for phones, that got put on here, to the point some developers mistakenly believe somehow those things are acceptable, like blocky untextured games in proof of concept states being "a stylistic choice" than what it is which is complete lack of development, pay to win crap, things designed specifically for a casual touch screen that were never intended to be used with computer controls, things like that.

TONS of phonetrash pay-to-win games are on here. It's being designed specifically around that, whereas GOG Galaxy still looks and feels like something that was specifically made for PC gaming. I hate mobile games, and everything surrounding pocket NSAs aka touch phones, the people on them, what it did to the internet. The problem is they basically turned Steam into some phone ♥♥♥♥. Galaxy still looks and feels a lot like old Steam. It'd be like having a first Facebook account for your college buddies on campus on some old friends from high school, and then coming back to look at the abomination it is today, and people wondering why there's an exodus of people from FB. Basically, if you were here for Steam back in like 2010, 2012, you'd still recognize GOG's client, but you'd not be able to recognize Steam at all. Basically, it's because they absolute insist on changing things, although to be fair I'm getting a bit leery about updates getting tacked onto GOG Galaxy now.

Like I don't even remember anymore what it was they did to something with my friendslist functionality a decade ago but I still remember being mad about it. Out of curiosity: why GOG and why not steam anymore? A lot of us also are not even oldfgs but originalfgs from back in 2004 when Steam first got rolled out for Half Life 2, and we've only seen this place go down the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ since then basically.
